The Work
This position is funded by the Aegis Sites Operations and Maintenance contract as part of the CSEDS engineering staff. CSEDS is the Combat System Engineering Development Site in Moorestown NJ, owned by the US Navy and maintained and operated by Lockheed Martin.
Job requires a background in mechanical engineering with ability to assist electrical engineer with projects. Individual shall function as mechanical engineer assistant with ability to move into position of CSEDS mechanical engineer
This position is involved in design efforts for the installation of AEGIS and BMD computer systems. Including floor space utilization, coolant design, design and fabrication of cable trays and conduit, HVAC unit installations, duct work design, and ceiling design.
The Engineer will support design, install, maintain and supervise work performed on CSEDS facilities grounds, equipment and systems. Including design specifications, procurement documents, vendor selection, installation supervision, and acceptance.
The Engineer will support all exterior mechanical and structural issues. Including hiring and coordinating riggers and crane operators. Provide support interfacing with Lockheed Martin facilities and ESH engineering departments to coordinate mechanical, facilities, and systems operations and maintenance. Including CFC refrigerant replacement, CFC monitoring system, cooling tower system, Access Control system, roof maintenance, MAST maintenance, plumbing systems, boiler operations, other mechanical maintenance, and non-electrical utilities.
Assist with the review and updates of several SWI's.
Support the mechanical design of all facilities modifications and maintaining documentation of Site changes.
Perform tasks in compliance with Lockheed Martin's ethical and safety visions.

Basic Qualifications
BS in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
Broad background in mechanical and some civil engineering disciplines. The job requires an individual who can function in mechanical, structural, and Building Automation Systems
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products and AutoCAD .
Understands the concepts and attributes necessary to provide estimates, perform structural/mechanical design, write work specifications, order material, coordinate activities of contractors, schedule tasks, and produce specifications for bidding.
Excellent communications skills, ability to develop job specifications for bidders, contractors, and Lockheed Martin mechanics and tradesmen on day-to-day operations.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level
