Job Details
Job Title: Sr. Roku Developer
Work Location: Burbank CA
Work Mode: Remote (Work Time will be as per PST or EST)
Job Description:
The Roku Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining Roku applications writing clean and efficient code and collaborating with cross functional teams to create high-quality user experiences Additional tasks include troubleshooting and debugging applications optimizing performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Roku TV applications using Scene Graph and Brightscript
- Good to have experience on Brightscript
- Implement UIUX designs within the Roku TV ecosystem
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to define design and ship new features
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Stay UpToDate with the latest industry trends and technologies
- Write clean maintainable and efficient code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Roku TV application development
- Proficiency in Scene Graph and Brightscript
- Strong understanding of Rokus development environment and tools
- Experience with video streaming technologies and DRM solutions
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other streaming platforms and languages
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with Git and version control systems
