Description

SAIC is looking for an Engineering Technician IV in Crane, IN to support the U.S. Navy.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:
  • Supporting the battery testing for the Power & Energy support, for lead acid battery technical support, including working with electrical systems for high voltage items.
  • Report data, results, and analysis to project representatives for batteries, battery systems, battery chargers, and test equipment.
  • Maintain test equipment to ensure all test events are acceptable.
  • follow standard operating procedures for lead acid batteries and the test plans.

Training that will be completed after hiring will include:
  • National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace
  • Overhead Crane and Forklift Operation Certification
  • Forklift Certification, within 6 months of starting this TI This training cost
  • CPR Training, within 6 months of starting
  • AFIB Training, within 6 months of starting
  • Lock Out Tag Out Training, within 6 months of starting
  • ESD Certification.
  • Contractor will provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and support personnel must use and wear as required.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
  • High school/GED and 4 or more years related experience (with some in DoD as desired)
  • Familiarity with power systems testing/test equipment and electrical/electronics testing described above.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to read electrical drawings
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.

PREFFERED EXPERIENCE:
  • DoD experience
