Senior Technical Lead / Developer
Our client, The City of New York, Office of Information Technology (Client) is seeking a Senior Technical Lead / Developer who is hands-on, can make complex technical decisions, interface with senior business and technical leaders, and collaborate with technical teams in development, infrastructure, cyber and vendor/SI technical teams, and most importantly, take ownership to ensure quality, The Senior Technical Lead will oversee all technical activities of developers and technical staff, provide direction and guidance for development projects, and ensure that all projects meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker to provide innovative solutions to complex development challenges and have experience in custom and COTS applications in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
Required Skills:
Technical Expertise:
o Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
o Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development and technical leadership.
o Hands-on experience using a major programming language (C#, .Net, Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, Go) o At least two years of configuration & customization experience with MS Dynamics and/or Salesforce CRM.
o Strong understanding of Cloud-based architecture, with hands-on experience using Azure, or AWS o Demonstrated knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe preferred).
o Experience with cloud-based SaaS solutions.
o Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
o Strong understanding and hands-on experience using DevOps toolsets
Communication and Collaboration:
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders. o Strong interpersonal skills.
" Project Management and Organization:
o Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
o Strong organizational and project management skills.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
" Security and Standards:
o Ability to articulate and recommend technology standards related to security, document transmission, and digital signatures.
o Ensure compliance with NYC Cyber Command Standards
