The Integrated Power Systems Program Support group is seeking highly motivated candidates to support the design and construction of the COLUMBIA Class propulsion system. Candidates will be part of a team that is providing visibility and solutions to directorate wide concerns and improvements.

The Integrated Power Systems Program Support group is seeking highly motivated candidates to support the design and construction of the COLUMBIA Class propulsion system. Candidates will be part of a team that is providing visibility and solutions to directorate wide concerns and improvements.
Responsibilities include:
- Track and assess delinquent commitments for IPS across all programs (COLUMBIA, SSN(X)), Self-Assessment Action, Audits
- Develop metrics, tools and procedures to refine and improve management tracking for use by Directorate Management
- Develop tools to track Buyer Information Request and Vendor Information Request performance across IPS and support developing meaningful metrics, recommendations results.
- Serve as Integrated Power Systems (IPS) Technical Product Quality (TPQ) Directorate Lead Train and coordinate department and group TPQ representative
- Manage the creation and delivery of the Directorate and Department Annual Self Assessments. Serve as IPS Representative for the Engineering Process Group
- Serve as Information Security Representative per EB Security Manual for IPS as required. Serve on the Engineering Security Management Team and contribute to the development of new security measures designed to improve information security management.
Qualifications
Required:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or higher
- 4-9 years of relevant experience
Preferred:
- Proficiency required with SPARS, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point including some macro-programming in Excel is desired
- Knowledge of MS Access and Oracle-based systems is desired
- Working knowledge of Rational Software's Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements Management System (DOORS)
- Familiarity with IPS, MPS and Electric Plant.
- Working understanding of EB3G, EB7G, Data Monster, HTML and general knowledge of the EB organization is essential.
- Working knowledge of CG-NR-1 required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the department of defense
- Organizational Management education strongly preferred
- Working relationships with NAVSEA, SUPSHIP, and trades extremely desirable
Skills
- Ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to mediate and negotiate issues
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must
- Lateral management skills are very helpful
- Must possess ability to develop and provide presentations to a management and floor engineers addressing a wide range of topics
- Understanding of power systems engineering principles is highly desirable.
