The Chief Enterprise Architect (CEA) is responsible for owning and driving the Enterprise Architecture, standards, and strategy for the organization. This role helps ensure that technology initiatives align with the healthcare system's strategic goals, driving modernization of core foundational technology, and supervising the evolution of the overall technical architecture and cross-system integration for all applications, platforms and systems. The CEA will lead the Enterprise Architecture team and collaborate closely with the CIO, CISO, and other key technology stakeholders to ensure that the health system's technology roadmap is aligned to business and operational goals.
Relevant certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF). Other technology and security certifications are required. Healthcare (e.g., HIPAA, Epic certifications) are a plus. Cloud platform certifications (i.e., Azure, CKA, CKAD, OSCP, AWS) a plus.

- Lead the Enterprise Architecture function providing strategic direction and oversight through regular Architecture Review Board (ARB) and/or Technical Review Board (TRB) meetings
- Provide technical guidance and support to technology delivery teams assessing third-party solutions to integrate into the health system's technology stack
- Work closely with CISO and cybersecurity teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities to the health system by evolving key technical architecture standards
- Drive modernization efforts and supervise architecture design of key technology transformation initiatives
Technology and Business Alignment
- Make informed decisions on Enterprise Architecture strategy based on the overall IT strategy and emerging healthcare technology trends
- Stay up-to-date on and communicate trends and emerging technologies to stakeholders, ensuring the organization stays ahead of technological advancements
- Collaborate with the CIO, technology leaders, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for technology transformation initiatives
- Analyzes the current state to future state gaps, and transformation priorities. Define the transformation roadmap across all architecture domains.Create, document and manage technology standardization across technology domains.

- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment and chair and organize various committees Has a strong history of architecture governance that integrates data, cyber and app dev domain
- Managerial Skills: Strong managerial skills to oversee the Enterprise Architecture function and ensure that the team is delivering impact by successfully driving architecture transformation initiatives

Experience
- Proven experience in a senior enterprise architecture role working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Previous experience establishing enterprise architecture function and setting technology vision for a large-scale organization
- Proven experience solutioning and implementing clinical platforms (i.e., Epic/EMR, PACS) and cross cutting business platforms (i.e., ServiceNow, CRM, Infor/ERP) to design for optimal scale/reuse
- Experience successfully leading and managing teams in a complex, dynamic environment
- Strong background in IT strategy, architecture design, and governance
