Job Title: Project Manager 3 – Senior ERP Systems Integration Project Manager
Location: Dimondale, MI (Hybrid – 2 Days Onsite / 3 Days Remote)
Work Arrangement:
• This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring two (2) days onsite per week at 7285 Parsons Drive, Dimondale, MI 48821, with three (3) days remote.
• Local candidates only (must reside within 90 minutes of Dimondale, MI) and must possess a valid Michigan Driver’s License.
• No remote-only option is available.
• In-person or onsite interviews are mandatory. Candidates must be willing to appear onsite for interviews.
• A screenshot photo of the candidate will be required for interviews, and a vendor representative must be present at the start of any MS Teams interview for candidate validation.
• Position is a 1-year contract with possible extension, 40 hours/week
Position Overview:
• The State of Michigan is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager (PM3) to support the Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB) – Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO).
• his role will support the Michigan Department of Treasury and Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) on a high-priority, multi-year City Tax Modernization initiative.
• The Project Manager will lead large-scale Oracle or SAP ERP systems integration projects, working within a fast-paced, multi-vendor environment and supporting a hybrid workforce.
• The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication, governance, and follow-up skills, with a proven ability to deliver complex ERP initiatives on time and within budget.
Mandatory Qualifications:
• 15+ years of overall IT experience in a formal Project Manager role
• 10+ years of Oracle ERP or SAP ERP project management experience, including global ERP implementations
• Proven experience managing budgets of $750M+ and leading 20+ member project teams
• PMP certification from PMI – REQUIRED
• Any valid work visa is acceptable

Key Responsibilities:
Project & Portfolio Management
· Lead and manage large-scale ERP systems integration projects using State of Michigan SUITE Project Management Methodology (PMM) and System Engineering Methodology (SEM).
· Utilize the State’s Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool – Clarity to develop and maintain project schedules, assign resources, and manage budgets.
· Develop and maintain detailed integration schedules exceeding 5,000+ lines using MS Project.
· Establish, monitor, and control project scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, risks, and issues.
Governance, Budget & Change Control
· Establish and maintain project budgets, schedules, change requests, risk logs, and issue logs.
· Facilitate and enforce formal Change Management processes, ensuring all changes receive proper approvals prior to execution.
· Develop Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) for projects in yellow or red status.
· Ensure adherence to governance standards, lifecycle stage gates, and compliance requirements.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
· Provide leadership and foster collaboration across technical teams, business stakeholders, agency executives, vendors, and DTMB leadership.
· Prepare and deliver clear, concise executive-level presentations, reports, and project status updates.
· Actively manage vendor contracts, deliverables, and approval processes to ensure contractual compliance.
· Facilitate cross-agency communication and manage project dependencies and interfaces.
Project Deliverables & Lifecycle Management
· Develop, maintain, and oversee all core PM deliverables, including:
o Project Charter
o Project Schedule
o Project Budget
o Communication Plan
o Project Status Reports
o Risk & Issue Management Plans
o Change Requests
o Project Closeout Summary
· Ensure project artifacts are updated to reflect approved changes and evolving business benefits.
Required Tools & Technologies:
• Oracle ERP or SAP ERP
• Clarity PPM (5+ years)
• Microsoft Project – Advanced proficiency (5+ years)
