Title: Desktop Support Administrator Location: Richmond, VA (On-site only)
Schedule: Full-time, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, with rotating on-call responsibilities

Pay Rate: 25-28 /HR


About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Administrator to join our team and support our infrastructure at our Richmond location. This role involves providing comprehensive workstation support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing imaging requests, and ensuring seamless connectivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in desktop administration within regulated industries, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows 11 and Office 365 (including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive) environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, Toughbooks, tablets, and mobile devices.
  • Manage imaging processes using SCCM and handle high volumes of imaging requests efficiently.
  • Configure and test client workstations to access VPNs utilizing secure token authentication.
  • Support peripheral devices such as HP/OCE printers and tablets, and assist with mobile device troubleshooting.
  • Maintain and establish network connectivity, including TCP/IP configuration, internet access, and email accounts.
  • Support in resolving connectivity issues, managing workstation hardware, and deploying new software.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by proactively communicating with users and maintaining a sense of urgency.
  • Collaborate with team members for problem resolution and workload management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years experience as a Desktop Technician/Administrator or similar role.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting imaging issues for PCs, laptops, Toughbooks, tablets, and mobile devices.
  • Strong proficiency in Windows 11, Office 365, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Hands-on experience configuring VPNs with secure token authentication.
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Prior experience supporting users in regulated industries is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical certifications are a plus.
