We are looking to hire an Internet Information Services (IIS) Administrator to support our Enterprise IT Support Services work at the Army Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC). AvMC is the Army’s focal point for providing research, development and engineering technology and services for aviation and missile platforms across the weapons systems life cycle. AvMC’s mission is to “deliver collaborative and innovative aviation and missile capabilities for responsive and cost-effective research, development, and life cycle engineering solutions” to equip the Warfighter with the best technology today and tomorrow.
 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Implement, manage, and sustain website and application creation, certificate management, application pool monitoring, webserver and website monitoring and security configuration for the AvMC Enterprise via IIS administration
  • Provide support for AvMC web servers and hosted applications
  • Identify and document end user requirements for hosting web-based applications
  • Maintain IIS configuration management, and coordinate to ensure IIS patches and updates are routinely applied
  • Provide hardware and software support for database administration and maintenance for hosted database applications
  • Provide support to users, software developers, and database-driven web-enabled software applications to ensure availability, security, and integrity of data access
  • Identify and resolve interoperability issues to maintain the application environment
  • Provide system level support of hosted web applications, file systems and restricted shell access menus
  • Maintain and document application and website performance including tracking, compiling, and analyzing website usage data
  • Document AvMC Standard Operating Procedures as it pertains to IIS
  • Produce and maintain DISA STIG documentation and ensure IIS STIGS are applied and remain current
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Eight (8) years of prior experience in a similar role
  • Must have experience with Internet Information Systems (IIS)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • DoD 8570 Level II/III certification desired
  • Active Security clearance required
