Team: Business Solutions and Enablement

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid - 3 days/week)

Contract Length: 12+ months

Rate: $80-85/hr

Overview:

Seeking an experienced Agile Transformation Lead to spearhead a true product-focused Agile transformation within its Capital Markets division. This role is within the Business Solutions and Enablement team, supporting the shift from a waterfall environment to a dynamic, iterative Agile approach. The ideal candidate will bring strong systems implementation experience, particularly in large system-driven initiatives such as T+1, and possess a deep understanding of capital markets operations, with a focus on OMS and process redesign.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Capital Markets & Systems Focus: Proven experience in implementing large-scale systems in capital markets, especially OMS, T+1, or similar initiatives.
  • Agile Transformation Expertise: Demonstrated success leading Agile transformations, training teams in Scrum, Kanban, and product management.
  • Technical Background: Comfortable working in a tech-driven environment with familiarity in Jira, project management constructs, and agile tools.
  • Change Management: Strong ability to drive change, educate teams, and foster an Agile mindset across diverse stakeholders.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of capital markets operations without needing deep domain expertise.
  • Leadership & Presence: Effective communicator and facilitator, capable of leading meetings, coaching teams, and influencing senior leadership.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with process redesign, system implementation projects, and working in a hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and facilitate a comprehensive Agile transformation for a capital markets environment, emphasizing product ownership, Scrum practices, and Agile maturity.
  • Will participate in an intensive Agile training program, including foundational concepts like epics, stories, features, and best Scrum practices, with a focus on practical application through weekly sessions.
  • Conduct workshops on creating effective quarterly plans, transitioning teams from backlog to active execution.
  • Develop and implement a tailored approach to Agile adoption that aligns with the bank's strategic goals and operational realities.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to redesign processes and implement systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing workflows.
  • Bring expertise in capital markets systems, particularly OMS, with a focus on large system implementations and process transformations rather than regulatory compliance or risk/regulatory reporting.
  • Act as a visible leader and facilitator, managing meetings, coaching teams, and ensuring adoption of Agile principles across the organization.
  • Share insights and best practices from previous transformations, making recommendations for continuous improvement and success.
