Job Title: Test Automation Engineer

Location: Boston MA 02110 (Hybrid onsite - Tue/Wed/Thu)

Onsite Requirements:

• Top Skill #1 - MUST have Investment Service Industry experience.


• Top Skill #2 - Ideal candidate will have experience working with CRD/CRIMS (Charles River Development) order management system (OMS), or a similar order management system.


• Top Skill #3 - Highly technical, coding will be required.


• Top Skill #4: looking for a test automation engineer who can help establish the initial framework and move automation efforts forward. Develop a roadmap and timeline for establishing a test automation framework.
  

Job Scope:

• They are moving from on prem to cloud and do not have an automation framework in place yet.


• Looking for a test automation engineer who can help establish the initial framework and move automation efforts forward.


• Develop a roadmap and timeline for establishing a test automation framework at the company.


• Contribute to the development of a plan to integrate automated testing within the testing process.


• Participate in the evaluation of tools and technology for automation that best fits the organization and projects therein. They will contribute to creating an approach and methodology for building a test automation architecture.


• Design and develop (new or modified) test automation solutions that meet the business needs and bring value to the business.


• Enable the transition of testing from a manual to an automated approach.


• They will participate in creating automated test reporting and metrics collection.


• Finally, the Test Automation Engineer will help to manage and optimize our testing assets to facilitate maintainability and address evolving test systems.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining test automation solutions, Automate dynamic, functional tests.


• Contribute to organizational and/or project Test Automation Strategy


• Primarily focus on repeatable tasks withing the SUT or project and designing an automation framework to support.


• Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the SUT or project.


• Write documentation for automated processes.


• Build test automation frameworks.


• Participate in and contribute to defect management process.


• Work cross collaboratively on CI/CD pipelines.


• Exploratory testing as needed and/or required.

Skills You Bring:

• Broad knowledge of testing


• In depth understanding of test automation


• Ability to influence the direction that an organization/project takes when designing, developing, and maintaining test automation solutions for functional tests.


• Experience w/ Agile methodology

Technical Skills:

• Python, Java, SQL, and Linux

Analytical Skills:

• Prioritize overall needs of the organization or project to determine the biggest value of what can be automated.


• Communication Skills: Effectively collaborate with stakeholders so they understand, and we can have common alignment on objective, function, goal, and reporting.

Nice to have:

• Prior experience with asset management, trading, or portfolio management platforms


• Experience w/ AWS.


• 5 - 10+ years of experience in test automation


• Experience with Charles River Development


• Xray Test Management


• Experience w/ Rest Assured, Playwright, Selenium

Education:

• BS/MS in Computer Science
