Job Title: ServiceNow ITOM/ITSM Consultant
Location: Dallas TX (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ months
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled ServiceNow ITOM/ITSM Consultant to design, configure, and implement ServiceNow solutions that support our IT Service Management and IT Operations Management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ServiceNow modules, integrations, and automation best practices.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and configure ServiceNow ITSM modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, Request, CMDB, and Knowledge Management.
  • Design and develop ITOM solutions, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Orchestration.
  • Configure and maintain the CMDB and related data models for accurate asset and service tracking.
  • Develop and maintain custom workflows, business rules, client scripts, and UI policies.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using APIs, MID Servers, and web services.
  • Participate in requirement gathering, solution design, testing (UAT), and deployment activities.
  • Support ongoing platform maintenance, upgrades, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with ITIL best practices and business objectives.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in ServiceNow ITSM implementation and administration.
  • Hands-on experience with ITOM modules such as Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Orchestration.
  • Strong understanding of CMDB structure, CI classes, and relationship mapping.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow Flow Designer.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with tools like SolarWinds, SCOM, Dynatrace, AWS, or Azure.
  • Familiarity with ITIL v3/v4 processes.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) is required; CIS–ITSM/ITOM certifications preferred.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with ServiceNow Discovery Patterns and custom probes/sensors.
  • Familiarity with CMDB health dashboards, data reconciliation, and data normalization.
  • Knowledge of Event Management correlation rules and alert automation.
  • Exposure to HRSD, SecOps, or CSM modules is a plus.
