My client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join their Center of Excellence (CoE) team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the healthcare domain, particularly in claims adjudication, and deep experience with Facets configuration and operations. This role will focus on driving best practices, standardizing business processes, and supporting enterprise-wide initiatives across health plan operations.
Business Analyst Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for healthcare claims adjudication processes and Facets platform configuration
- Analyze, document, and standardize business processes and system configurations to support enterprise-wide operational excellence
- Collaborate with business units, IT, and operations teams to identify process gaps and recommend solutions that align with CoE standards
- Develop and maintain detailed business requirements, functional specifications, and configuration documentation
- Partner with QA and technical teams to support UAT planning, test case development, and issue resolution
- Lead or support root cause analysis for claims-related issues and recommend process or configuration changes
- Support Facets enhancement initiatives by translating business needs into functional system configurations
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and system updates to ensure business practices remain compliant and optimized
- Assist with training and knowledge transfer related to best practices, configuration standards, and new process rollouts
Business Analyst Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a business analyst role within the healthcare industry
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Facets configuration (pricing, benefits, provider, claims modules, etc.)
- Strong understanding of claims adjudication lifecycle and related business processes
- Proven experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements
- Experience with process improvement methodologies and best practices (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Ability to work across cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Preferred experience working in a Center of Excellence or similar enterprise support function
- Preferred knowledge of CMS regulations, HIPAA, and healthcare compliance standards
- Preferred familiarity with agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
