Job Description: Project Manager Leading Active Directory Migration

Position: Project Manager - Active Directory Migration

Contract Duration: Approximately 18 months

Location: Plano office (4 days a week)

Travel: Light travel to SSC and one Distribution Center

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a large-scale Active Directory (AD) migration project involving 5,000 users. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in server migrations to the cloud, with a strong focus on AD separation. This role requires excellent communication skills to effectively manage change and ensure smooth transitions.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Active Directory migration project, ensuring successful separation and integration.
  • Manage server migrations to the cloud, including cloning and transferring servers.
  • Coordinate the migration process in sprints, utilizing Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Oversee the initial migration of distribution centers, followed by other components.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear and accurate information during change management.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
  • Utilize ITIL and PMP methodologies to manage the project efficiently.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience as a Project/Program Manager.
  • Proven experience with Active Directory migrations.
  • Strong infrastructure experience.
  • Ability to work in the Plano office 4 days a week.
  • Willingness to travel lightly to SSC and one Distribution Center.

Recommended Qualifications:
  • Experience with server migrations.
  • Cloud experience (Google Cloud Platform, OCI, Azure).
  • Data center experience is a plus.
  • Retail or supply chain experience is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in change management.

Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience migrating applications to the cloud.
  • Understanding of supply chain operations and their unique requirements.

Additional Information:
  • The specific cloud platform (Google Cloud Platform, OCI, Azure) is not crucial as decisions will not be made in this area.
  • Retail experience is a plus, but candidates from other segments are welcome.
  • Supply chain experience is helpful due to different operational hours and processes
