Job Title: Technical Trainer

Job Description:
  • The Training and Development Specialist will be responsible for assessing training needs, developing comprehensive instructional materials, and delivering engaging learning programs for internal and external stakeholders.
  • This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining effective training initiatives using modern learning management systems and instructional design tools.
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze training needs and employee/stakeholder skillsets to identify performance gaps.
  • Utilize needs assessments to establish and prioritize training objectives.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive training programs including lesson plans, course outlines, schedules, and assignments for internal staff and external vendors.
  • Use training development software such as Adobe Captivate or Articulate to create e-learning modules for the MyPurpose Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Identify, source, and maintain an LMS that supports external user access.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop course content, presentations, worksheets, how-to guides, and other training materials.
  • Conduct in-person, virtual, and on-demand training sessions, webinars, and workshops.
  • Monitor and analyze training results, evaluate program effectiveness, and implement improvements.
  • Prepare and present training performance reports to management.
  • Provide online help, technical support, and troubleshooting for training participants.
  • Maintain certification documentation for internal and external business partners.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent combination of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio).
  • Prior experience in a training role for an IT application.
  • Minimum two years of experience in planning, coordinating, or conducting training or staff development programs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and users at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior teaching or training experience.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of adult learning methodologies and instructional design principles.
  • Ability to manage heavy workloads with minimal supervision.
  • Strong facilitation, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent technical writing and documentation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Marketing or graphic design experience to enhance training material visuals.
Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, RoboHelp, CRMs, Visio, and Adobe Connect.
