Job Description:
- The Senior Scrum Master facilitates Agile teams or serves as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) for SAFe Agile release trains (ARTs).
- This role ensures teams and ARTs achieve their objectives by improving quality, predictability, flow, and velocity.
- The Senior Scrum Master fosters a Lean-Agile mindset, coaches teams on problem-solving, removes impediments, and promotes collaboration across the enterprise.
- Facilitate team or ART meetings, including Daily Stand-ups, Iteration Planning, Iteration Reviews, Retrospectives, PI Planning, and Scrum of Scrums.
- Guide teams toward achieving iteration goals in alignment with program increments or release objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement and coach teams in problem-solving techniques and Agile practices.
- Support inter-team coordination to improve flow, throughput, and program-level effectiveness.
- Work with Product Owners and Product Management to maintain healthy backlogs and manage scope and priorities.
- Identify and remove impediments by engaging appropriate stakeholders within and outside the organization.
- Promote Lean-Agile leadership behaviors, facilitating culture change to improve business agility.
- Provide input and lead initiatives to improve value delivery across teams and ARTs.
- Measure, monitor, and report metrics, dashboards, and team performance indicators.
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- 8+ years of experience with Lean and Agile methodologies, including 3+ years as a Scrum Master or Kanban Lead.
- Proven success leading multiple Agile teams to improved maturity and customer outcomes.
- Expertise in Lean-Agile values, principles, and practices; strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks.
- Experience with scaling Agile in large enterprises, including value stream mapping, system-level optimizations, and Theory of Constraints.
- Strong accountability for program success and ability to drive change at multiple levels.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-standard Agile tools.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Required
- SAFe Scrum Master Certification Preferred
- Certified SAFe Release Train Engineer Preferred
- Certified Scrum Professional Preferred
