Job Details

Job Title: Data Center Technician

Location: Oneonta, NY 13820 (Onsite from Day 1)

Mandatory:

  • Update/Image network devices
  • Install new network devices
  • Work with engineering to patch ports
  • Remove old gear
  • Sanitize/wipe the old network devices
  • Plan with engineers on upcoming cut overs
  • Assist is coordinating with client
  • Track progress of project
  • Report progress and any delays to stack holders

Detailed JD

  • Monitor, record, track, and respond timely to requests
  • Provide project management for project to include planning and tracking progress, and reporting.
  • Imaging/Update network gear to approved image and base configurations.
  • Unboxing the network gear, Imaging console and USB or via dedicated network, transportation to site, mounting in rack, patching cables, moving power sources, removal of old gear, transport back, wipe old hardware, update monitoring and inventory platforms.
  • Maintain and update the ticket status, log in the ticketing system
  • manage the users scheduling/appointments and communication.
  • Network Refresh Management, Tracking & Reporting for Network team and deliverables.
  • As the majority of locations are remote with travel included, any no-shows, delays from the users at the target locations will increase the timelines and efforts for network refresh reattempts and to be calculated separately.
  • Flexible schedules with afterhours and/or nights and/or weekends will be required. Possibility of overtime hours.
  • Candidates must have reliable transportation as need to travel to multiple nearby sites.
