Electrical Engineer II
Job Description
Auscom is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Compal Electronics, a leading manufacturer of notebooks, servers, LCDs, smart devices, etc. As an ODM supplier to Dell, Compal is responsible for engineering design implementation and manufacturing of mobile PCs and server products. Auscom Engineering sits inside of Dell's Parmer campus, working directly with Dell to support proof of concepts, development and sustaining for products delivered by Compal. We also work directly with our team members in Taiwan and China, to ensure smooth engagement and successful delivery of new products. Our role is to bridge communication and to drive alignment of expectations, as well as direct involvement with the teams.

Skillset/Experience:

  • 2-3 Years of EE experience
  • Understand system requirements for Mobile and Server Computing.
  • Work closely with Senior Engineering staff, to understand and analyze system architecture.
  • Provide support for debug and failure analysis of issues.
  • Provide technical support for server system and Notebook issues escalated by Dell during the development phase
  • Work with Dell and Compal engineering team members to ensure global support of ongoing development efforts.
  • Support design/development of new systems.
  • Communicate issue status by providing weekly issue updates (by status updates to tracking tools, email updates and PPT issue summaries).
  • Train/support other team members
  • Work with Dell team to support front end actives
  • Communicate issue status by providing weekly issue updates (by status updates to tracking tools, email updates and PPT issue summaries).
  • Train/support other team members
  • Work with Dell team to support front end activities.
  • Ability to work independently.
Nice to Have s:
  • Experience with Verilog and Complex Programmable Logic Devices (CPLD) for digital circuit design.
  • Experience with Voltage Regulator (VR) and power management technologies for efficient power delivery and regulation.
