Principal Software Engineer / School System

Are you an experienced software engineer looking for a contract role right in the city of Boston? A school system in the city is looking for a Senior Principal Software Engineer to join them as they completely modernize their codebase.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience migrating legacy applications into the Azure cloud. The role is offering a hybrid working model and competitive pay and benefits. You will be working two days a week in the office in Boston.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, or other related fields
• 7 plus years of experience working on .NET technologies.
• Experience migrating legacy systems to Azure cloud.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience using front-end technologies (preferably Angular)
• Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills across multiple levels of the organization.

What You Will Be Doing

• Enhancing data integration
• Designing and developing key features in critical systems
• Maintaining the API layer of the applications
