JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Role:

We are on the lookout for a proficient Messaging Engineer to enhance our SSOC Messaging team's capabilities. You will play a pivotal role in managing, securing, and optimizing our Microsoft Exchange Online Email and Mobile Device Management (MDM) environments, along with associated technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, monitor, and fine-tune Microsoft Exchange Online infrastructure for peak performance.
  • Guarantee a robust, secure, and accessible electronic messaging ecosystem.
  • Deploy, configure, and resolve issues for Exchange servers within a hybrid setup.
  • Address message delivery and security challenges within our messaging solutions.
  • Craft and execute PowerShell scripts to streamline administrative tasks.
  • Transition on-premises Public Folders, Shared mailboxes, and distribution groups to Exchange Online or M365 Groups.
  • Offer expert-level support for email or mobile-related queries from end-users.
  • Work in tandem with the Applications Support team to resolve email and mobile device concerns.
  • Conduct regular patching and updates to ensure messaging servers are up-to-date.
  • Design and manage disaster recovery protocols for messaging systems.
  • Execute e-discovery operations as required.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • In-depth expertise in Microsoft Exchange Online and hybrid configurations.
  • Solid grasp of Active Directory architecture and DNS intricacies.
  • Mastery in PowerShell for automation and command-line tasks.
  • Proficient in cloud and on-premises messaging eDiscovery processes.
  • Acquainted with Microsoft Teams and MDM via Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune.
  • Exceptional analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving prowess.
  • Aptitude for technical writing and maintaining comprehensive documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Proofpoint Protection Server.
  • Knowledgeable in Exchange Online Archiving and related policies.
  • Versed in Compliance (Purview) and Conditional Access pertaining to Exchange Online and Intune.
  • Familiar with Microsoft DLP and AIP functionalities for email/messaging.
  • Certifications in Microsoft Exchange, Azure, or Security.
  • Insight into AI technologies and their application in messaging systems.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel, approximately 4-5 times annually, for team gatherings and industry conferences.
