Title: Power Apps Developer

Location: Saint Paul, MN - Hybrid

Duration: 6 Months

 

Position Summary:

  • The Minnesota Department of Information Technology Services (MNIT) is seeking a skilled Power Apps Developer to support the development and implementation of a digital solution for the State s Petro fund Program. This position involves working in an Agile environment using Microsoft Power Platform on Azure Government Cloud.
  • Responsibilities include software development, data migration, documentation, and limited post-production support to ensure successful knowledge transfer to state personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop front-end interfaces using Microsoft Power Apps.
  • Ensure full ADA accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1).
  • Use APIs to interact with Azure Managed SQL Databases and Azure BLOB/File Storage.
  • Authenticate users via Azure Active Directory.
  • Collaborate in Agile teams (planning, reviews, and retrospectives).
  • Assist in backlog refinement and user story estimation.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and architectural designs.
  • Perform knowledge transfer with MNIT and Commerce Department staff.

Project Deliverable:

  • Fully functional web portal with backend systems and automation for Petro fund Program administration.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 4+ years combined experience in development, data visualization, and UX.
  • 2+ years in Microsoft Power Apps development.
  • (Object-oriented UI development may substitute.)
  • 1+ year in Microsoft Power BI development.
  • (Tableau or other visualization tools may substitute.)
  • 1+ year in Microsoft Dynamics development.
  • (Salesforce or other CRM tools may substitute.)
  • Experience with Agile frameworks and product development methodologies.
  • UX design experience focusing on user-centric approaches across devices.
  • Experience with multilingual user experience design.
  • Proven ability to make applications WCAG 2.1 compliant.

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Beacon Systems Inc depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, BeaconGov provides reasonable range of compensation for this role.
