Description

SAIC is looking for an Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) Manager to join our team in Washington, DC at the Department of Transportation (DOT) Headquarters' Building.

The Ideal Manager/Leader is able to:
  • See the second and third order impacts of an outage.
  • They are able to provide necessary training for the EOC Technicians.
  • Able to react to events/alerts, is able to run an outage bridge, and provide timely communication to the user community.
  • They also need the ability to hold technicians accountable if they fail to complete duties as assigned.

Duties Include:
  • Responsible for managing and overseeing the operational support within the Data Centers, NOC, and DR team.
  • Manages and assigns tasks and deliverables.
  • Demonstrates required technical skills as well as the ability to organize, direct, and coordinate the planning and execution of all tasks and deliverables assigned.
  • Creates and establishes new standards and procedures and translates high level work plans into detailed assignments for team members.
  • Monitors and tracks progress of project and work plan.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and 14 years or more experience. Education may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 10 years of related experience managing and leading teams providing operational support to the Data Centers, Network Operations Center (NOC), and Disaster Recovery (DR) team.
  • Ability to Manage a team of 13; multiple shifts to provide end to end monitoring for End User Services and Infrastructure devices across the Dept of Transportation Network.
  • Able to lead, provide immediate direction on criticality of outages and events. Able to clearly communicate with Federal Customers, technology leads, and vendor support.
  • Ability to obtain a DOT Public Trust, or alien who has been lawfully admitted for permanently residence or employment.

Top Preferred Qualifications and Certifications:
  • ITIL Foundations V4 or above.
  • Managed 24x7 365 Network Operations Center/Monitoring Center.
  • Tier 2 and Infrastructure troubleshooting skills.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
