Job Details

Our client is hiring a Critical Facilities Engineer! We’re seeking an engineer to support new operations for our client. In this role, you’ll be directly responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and cooling systems that keep the facility running 24x7x365.

 

Location: Reno, NV (on-site)

Direct Hire: $40-$50+ hourly

Schedule: Full-time - Staring will be 8-5 Monday - Friday, then moved to shifts based on skill level and team needs in March 2026

Shift Schedules:

Days - 6AM-430 PM

Mids - 11 AM - 9PM

Nights - 8:30 PM - 7 AM

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform daily inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical systems including generators, UPS, switchgear, chillers, cooling towers, and HVAC equipment.
  • Respond to alarms, equipment failures, and emergency conditions to maintain uptime and reliability.
  • Partner with other engineers and vendors to ensure safe and efficient operation of all systems.
  • Maintain accurate logs, service records, and compliance documentation.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in data centers, industrial, or mission-critical facilities.
  • Strong hands-on skills in mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems (EPA certification preferred).
  • Experience with tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment—this is an active, physical role.
