Test & Evaluation Engineer (Entry-Level, Associate, or Mid-Level)

The Boeing Company is looking for a Test and Evaluation Engineer to join our team in Edwards AFB, CA. This position will support flight test planning, execution, and data analysis. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in test coordination, resource planning, technical reviews, and engineering support for both Boeing and the U.S. Air Force. This position requires strong organizational skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Entry-Level, Associate, and Experienced level Test & Evaluation Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform on-aircraft support during ground and flight tests
  • Participate in daily and weekly test status meetings, providing technical updates and insights
  • Assist in resource planning to ensure adequate support for test activities
  • Develop and review test plans and procedures to support test execution
  • Develop project instrumentation requirements
  • Support technical and safety review boards to assess and mitigate risks
  • Organize and facilitate working group meetings to align stakeholders
  • Track test progress and data using project management tools
  • Provide engineering support, including data analysis and historical reference retrieval
  • Participate in pre- and post-flight briefings, ensuring proper documentation and coordination
  • Coordinate test procedures and requirements with key stakeholders
  • Assist in real-time data monitoring and development of visualization tools
  • Contribute to project planning and future test estimates to support resource allocation
  • Ensure proper data handling and system access for test teams
  • Review and coordinate approvals for engineering and flight test documents
  • Maintain and update project tracking tools with relevant information
  • Collaborate with pilots and engineering teams on test system design and integration
  • Support incident reviews and technical assessments as needed
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across engineering, operations, and test teams
  • Adapt to evolving test program needs and emerging challenges

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Current FAA Class II medical certificate or the ability to obtain one

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Level 2: 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Flight test experience

Summary Pay Range for Entry-Level (Level 1): $73,100 - $98,900

Summary Pay Range for Associate Level (Level 2): $85,850 - $116,150

Summary Pay Range for Mid-level (Level 3): $102,000 - $138,000
