Job Title: Kubernetes Developer with Deployed Military Experience

Overview:

Medweb, a technology leader in the delivery of web-enabled, secure telemedicine, teleradiology and RIS/PACS solutions is looking for an experienced, talented Kubernetes Developer with Deployed Military Experience who will play a pivotal role in our projects involving Kubernetes-based infrastructure and deployments. This individual will bring not only their technical expertise in Kubernetes but also their unique perspective and experience gained from serving in the military. This is a remote position that will work with other remote team member(s) within the company.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters across various environments (on-premises, cloud, hybrid) ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline the deployment process, leveraging Kubernetes best practices and CI/CD methodologies.
• Implement monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of Kubernetes clusters, and proactively optimize resource utilization for cost efficiency.
• Work closely with the security team to implement security best practices, policies, and controls within Kubernetes environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Utilize military experience to provide insights and perspectives that enhance project planning, execution, and problem-solving.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and project managers, and communicate project status, challenges, and recommendations clearly and concisely.

Qualifications:

• Military experience with a focus on leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability. Deployed military experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes administration, including cluster deployment, configuration, and optimization.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker, along with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and container registries (e.g., Docker Hub, Google Container Registry).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols relevant to Kubernetes environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
