Description

We are looking for an experienced Access Control Support Specialist to join our team in Salem, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position that offers hybrid work flexibility, blending onsite and remote hours each week, for a total of 19 hours. The role involves managing access control systems, ensuring system functionality, and contributing to the development of strategic security initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the administration and maintenance of access control systems, including Lenel OnGuard or similar platforms.

Configure access points, manage user accounts, and establish security permissions as required.

Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to system connectivity and synchronization.

Implement recommendations from security audits to improve system performance and compliance.

Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for access control processes.

Respond to urgent access requests and security system updates in a timely manner.

Collaborate with IT, facilities, and security teams to integrate disconnected system components.

Support the creation of a long-term access control strategy aligned with organizational goals.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in access control system administration and support.
Proficiency in using Lenel OnGuard or comparable access control software.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
Excellent organizational and communication abilities to manage tasks and collaborate with teams.
Capacity to work independently and adapt to dynamic work environments.
Experience with drafting SOPs or other security-related documentation is preferred.
Familiarity with system configuration and maintenance in access management systems.
