In this hands-on role, you will leverage your technical expertise, sharp analytical skills, and business acumen to empower business stakeholders with enterprise-wide data products and insights, enhancing customer experience, employee experience, and driving continued profitable growth.
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will collaborate closely with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to perform complex analyses using Python and SQL. Your role will involve conducting Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to inform Data Scientists on optimal data sources and potential features for improving predictive machine learning models, such as churn prediction and propensity to purchase. A strong preference is given to candidates with experience in cloud services like BigQuery and a solid understanding of databases, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
Responsibilities:

• Technical Analysis: Conduct complex data analyses using Python and SQL to support data-driven decision-making and model development.

• Exploratory Data Analysis: Perform EDA using Python packages such as Pandas for data manipulation and Matplotlib for visualization to identify valuable data sources and features for enhancing predictive ML models.

• Cloud Expertise: Utilize cloud services like BigQuery to manage and analyze large datasets efficiently.

• Database Management: Demonstrate proficiency in relational database systems, ensuring data integrity and reliability.

• Statistical Analysis: Apply advanced statistical techniques to interpret data and generate actionable insights.

• Visualization: Develop compelling data visualizations using Python packages like Matplotlib, Plotly, and other relevant tools to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.

• Collaboration: Work closely with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to design and execute strategic data initiatives.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their objectives and deliver tailored analytic solutions.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data products through rigorous validation and testing.

• Opportunity Identification: Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance revenue, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: 7+ years of data analytics work experience, with a focus on technical analysis and collaboration with Data Scientists.

• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Python, including experience with Pandas for data manipulation and Matplotlib for visualization, and SQL, with experience in writing efficient queries for large data warehouses (e.g., Google BigQuery, Microsoft Azure).

• Cloud Services: Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Google Cloud and BigQuery.

• Statistical Analysis: Strong background in statistical analysis and data interpretation.

• Data Visualization: Expertise in data visualization techniques and tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Matplotlib, Plotly).

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting professionally with diverse stakeholders.

• Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively within a team, under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.

• Adaptability: Flexible, open-minded, and resourceful, with a positive attitude towards change.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Business Analysis: Experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong understanding of business processes.

• GenAI Tools: Experience using Generative AI tools for productivity, such as generating code and analyzing unstructured data.

• Version Control: Proficiency in using version control tools like GitHub, with experience participating in peer review sessions and collaborating effectively with team members.
