Title : FinOps Program Lead
Location: Richmond, VA
Duration: 1 Year Contract
Job Description:
- Richmond, VA (On-site/Hybrid as applicable)
- We are seeking an experienced FinOps Program Lead to join our Information Technology Division.
This pivotal role will act as a strategic liaison between Infrastructure & Operations (I&O), Project and ITD Finance teams, and senior leadership. The ideal candidate will lead efforts to monitor, manage, and optimize cloud spend, enhance cost visibility, and align financial strategies with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cloud financial operations initiatives and drive cost optimization strategies across cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement a cloud cost analytics framework by product.
- Provide regular reporting and insights into cloud usage, trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure financial accountability and alignment with organizational goals.
Required Experience:
- 8+ years in Finance, FP&A, or a related field.
- 3 4 years of experience in a cloud finance or cloud operations role, preferably within a SaaS or cloud-native environment.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and their pricing models.
- Hands-on experience with cloud cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, CloudHealth, Spot).
- Skilled in financial modeling, cost analysis, and forecasting.
- Familiarity with FinOps principles and cost optimization best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Basic scripting skills (Python or SQL) are a plus, but not required.
