Job Title: DevOps Architect
Experience Required: 10 12 years
Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly experienced DevOps Architect (10 12 years) to lead the end-to-end design and execution of DevOps solutions in Azure environment. This is an onsite role requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive DevOps transformation, modernize CI/CD pipelines, ensure infrastructure automation, strengthen security, and optimize performance and cost. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, architectural depth, and hands-on capabilities in cloud-native and DevOps technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and lead the implementation of scalable, secure CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins tailored to enterprise-grade applications.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategy with Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates, ensuring reusability, standardization, and GitOps alignment.
- Integrate advanced security tools (SAST, DAST, IaC scanners) into the CI/CD process to implement shift-left security and automate compliance.
- Ensure robust secrets management and policy enforcement using Azure Key Vault and policy-as-code frameworks across the pipeline lifecycle.
- Design and govern Azure PaaS deployments with a focus on naming standards, tagging, access control, and cost optimization.
- Build and implement observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to capture golden signals and enable real-time monitoring.
- Define and enforce enterprise identity governance through RBAC, Just-in-Time (JIT) access, Conditional Access, and MFA for cloud assets.
- Align DevOps frameworks with DORA metrics, SRE principles, and the Azure Well-Architected Framework for reliability, security, and scalability.
- Conduct cost analysis and implement FinOps-driven automation for efficient resource usage and budget control.
- Lead the automation of incident response using Azure Sentinel and define proactive remediation workflows.
- Perform cloud security assessments and implement security guardrails aligned with standards like CIS, NIST, and ISO 27001.
- Architect and manage identity models including service principals, managed identities, and enterprise SSO integrations.
- Drive vulnerability management processes for code, containers, and infrastructure components through continuous scanning and remediation.
- Standardize and enforce configuration baselines using compliance-as-code practices.
- Collaborate extensively with onsite development, security, and operations teams to embed DevOps best practices across the organization.
- Lead threat modeling, architecture reviews, and DevOps maturity assessments to drive continuous improvement.
- Implement automated compliance reporting and dashboards aligned with regulatory standards (PCI-DSS, SOX, HIPAA, etc.) using Azure Policy, Security Center, and KQL-based reporting.
- Enable platform engineering practices by building reusable pipelines, self-service deployment templates, and standardized environments for developers.
- Develop developer onboarding frameworks and golden paths that reduce time-to-market and increase platform reliability.
- Introduce resilience engineering practices and integrate chaos testing tools (e.g., Azure Chaos Studio, Gremlin) to validate system robustness under failure conditions.
- Architect secure Azure landing zones using Azure Blueprints, ARM/Bicep templates, and Policy Assignments for scalable environment provisioning.
- Architect modern workloads using AKS, Azure Functions, and Event Grid for scalable and loosely coupled deployments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10 12 years of progressive experience in DevOps, Cloud Architecture, and Infrastructure Automation.
- Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure, including certifications such as AZ-400, AZ-104, or AZ-305.
- Advanced skills in Terraform, Bicep, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
- Proven experience architecting secure and scalable cloud infrastructures using DevSecOps principles.
- Strong knowledge of observability tools, SIEM platforms (Azure Sentinel, Defender), and incident management automation.
- Experience applying DORA metrics, SRE principles, and Azure Well-Architected best practices.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills for onsite team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure Architect, DevOps, or Security Expert certifications.
- Experience with GitOps, container security, and automated remediation workflows.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and hybrid onsite-offshore delivery models.
- Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
- Working knowledge of FinOps principles for cloud cost optimization.
- Prior experience conducting enterprise DevOps assessments and driving large-scale transformations.
