World Wide Technology is looking for a Solar Winds Policy SME. This role is part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $70.00 to $80.00 hourly (W2/C2C). Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.
Job Description:
World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking a Solar Winds Policy SME for a 1-month short-term contract position Remotely, as part of our Strategic Resourcing Services and staff augmentation efforts.
In this role, the selected consultant will work directly with a WWT client, supporting their internal team and business objectives. While WWT facilitates the position, the consultant will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partner organizations, which will provide complete details regarding compensation and benefits before employment.
Summary of Services:
WWT will provide a Strategic Resource Solar Winds Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support creation of the Solor Winds alert process and policy . The Solar Winds SME will support the assessment and categorize alerts on a criticality scale for 200 objects. The WWT Solor Winds SME will be experienced with Cisco Network, route switch, Fortinet, ATMS switches, and policy setup within Solar Winds.
Scope of Work:
- Assess and categorize network alerts on a criticality scale to ensure timely and effective response.
- Monitor and manage 200 network objects using Solar Winds.
- Develop and implement policies within Solar Winds to optimize network performance and security.
- Collaborate with network engineers to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
- Provide expert guidance on Cisco Network, route switch, Fortinet, and ATMS switches.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of network infrastructure to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations and policies.
- Train and mentor junior staff on best practices in network monitoring and management.
Technical Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Solar Winds SME or similar role.
- Strong expertise in Cisco Network, route switch, Fortinet, and ATMS switches.
- In-depth knowledge of policy setup and management within Solar Winds.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Professional, Fortinet NSE) are a plus.
