ROLE TITLE: Azure Engineer - Administration
Overview of Role / Role Purpose
As an IT Administrator, your responsibilities will include managing and administering various IT systems and services such as Azure, Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, and Windows/Linux operating systems. You will be responsible for tasks such as configuring and maintaining these systems, monitoring and troubleshooting services, implementing security measures, and providing technical support to end users. Additionally, you will handle tasks related to patch management, endpoint protection, and software upgrades. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of IT infrastructure within the organization.
Core Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering: Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their data analysis and reporting requirements, as well as their application development needs.
Manage and administer Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking.
Configure and maintain Azure Recovery Vault for backup and disaster recovery purposes.
Manage and administer Exchange Server and Exchange Online environments.
Install and configure laptops and printers for end users.
Manage and administer SharePoint Server and SharePoint Online environments.
Manage and administer Microsoft Intune for mobile device management and application management.
Manage and administer Microsoft Teams for collaboration and communication.
Manage and administer Active Directory users, groups, and permissions.
Administer Windows and Linux operating systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
Manage and administer patch management systems for end user systems.
Hands-on experience with Checkpoint Cyber Security Software, including configuring security policies and rules.
Administer Zoom for online meetings and video conferencing.
Manage and administer Solice Endpoint Protection for endpoint security.
Ensure proper administration and management of Exchange, Office 365, and Intune.
Key Skills and Experience
Strong knowledge and experience with Azure, Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, and Windows/Linux operating systems.
Hands-on experience with Checkpoint Cyber Security Software.
Familiarity with patch management for end user systems.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert) are a plus.
