The Remote PACS Engineer provides technical, applications and system admin support for medical imaging applications that have been implemented at specific government medical facilities in the Southeast US. Will be responsible for the daily management of the PACS systems at hubs as well as spoke sites with downtime servers. Will monitor servers, perform health checks, monitor application errors, and conduct system testing. Will be the focal point to coordinate with support team on resolution of errors., including implementations and upgrades. This role does have additional responsibilities outside of the typical workday, such as unexpected and scheduled downtimes and may include some support for overseas locations. There may be only occasional travel to a site if absolutely necessary.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT experience
- 2+ years of experience with PACS type systems
- Experience with VMWare
- Experience with Windows OS (Windows 10, Microsoft Server 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022+)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security certification
- Able to pass background check and obtain security clearance and Common Access Card
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and/or PowerShell Scripting
- Experience DICOM, HL7
- Advanced knowledge of current network technologies and troubleshooting.
- Advanced knowledge of medical informatics hardware (VMWare and Storage Solutions)
- Advanced knowledge with clinical data transfer protocols and interfaces (HL7 and DICOM)
