THE WORK
- The Weapons Engineer is responsible for ensuring all AEGIS Weapons Control System (WCS) equipment and related interfaces are operational and available.
- The Weapons System Engineer will also be responsible for ensuring the FCS element are operational and available, in additional to equipment suites, setup configurations, equipment interfaces and data extraction requirements for testing.
- The Weapons Engineer reports to the AWS Engineer Lead and coordinates with the Availability Project Engineer, Test Coordinator (TC) and Test Director for WCS test related matters.

Basic Qualifications
Basic Qualifications :
Must be physically able to work on board a U.S. Navy ship and support short underway periods
Ability to travel up to 50 percent of the time CONUS and OCONUS
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related engineering field or applicable experience
Demonstrated experience with Phased Array Radar hardware/software and testing procedures, and the ability to analyze test results and report findings
Proven understanding of theory and operations of computer/network system, basic Electrical Test Equipment (Oscilloscope, Power Meters, Logic Analyzer), and LINUX/UNIX operating systems
Candidate should possess strong analytical and problem solving skills with good written and verbal communication skills
Intermediate level of competence with Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, Power Point and Project)
This position requires work on Naval Vessels, both in-port and underway. Employee will be expected to work in confined spaces and climb ladders and steep stairs.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
