Position: Data Analyst / Data Migration Analyst

Overview
We re seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Data Migration Specialist to support a major system conversion initiative. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and validating the migration of data from legacy systems to new platforms, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and minimal disruption to business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support all phases of data migration for system conversion projects including extraction, transformation, loading, validation, and reconciliation.
- Analyze existing data structures, identify data quality issues, and develop cleansing and mapping strategies.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to define data requirements, mapping documents, and transformation rules.
- Develop and execute test plans to verify data accuracy and completeness post-migration.
- Coordinate with system owners, database administrators, and implementation partners to ensure smooth data transition and cutover readiness.
- Document processes, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications for audit and knowledge transfer purposes.
- Monitor migration progress, troubleshoot issues, and provide post-conversion support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in data migration, data management, or system implementation projects.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools
- Strong SQL and database skills
- Experience with system conversions
- Demonstrated ability to manage large datasets, complex mappings, and cross-functional coordination.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and commitment to data accuracy.
