Technical Support L2 (Application and infrastructure Support with DevOps knowledge )
5-8 years of diverse experience in multiple areas of information technology is required; experience in the services industry is a plus.
Note – Candidate has to support from 12 PM – 9 PM ET
- Excellent knowledge of Unix, SQL, and Linux systems
- Hands-on Scripting experience (Python/ Shell /PowerShell) in the Unix/Linux platform is desired.
- Experience in AppDynamics, Splunk, and ServiceNow tools
- ITIL/ ITSM certification is preferable.
- Maintains and supports moderately complex applications and their operating environments.
- Performs complex troubleshooting as a subject matter expert in one or more applications.
- Works to ensure appropriate monitoring and alerting setup.
- Leads root cause analysis and problem management for complex problems to address underlying technical issues.
- Collaborates with business and application development stakeholders.
- Lead production readiness reviews for new releases and validate the supportability of changes before introduction into production.
- Monitors changes to applications and their operating environment.
- Analyze any complex issues.
- Recommends technical solutions to application problems.
- Reviews and develops updates of contingency documentation and processes.
- Performs periodic tests of disaster recovery processes.
- Reviews and analyzes product migrations through all systems environments.
- May review and execute Change Management scripts.
- Leads major incident management calls for resolution of high-priority incidents.
- May mentor or guide junior team members.
- Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.
- Monitoring: Regularly monitoring batch jobs and CICS online regions for abnormalities
- Impact analysis: Performing impact analysis to identify all the components in the job flow data that would require enhancements because of an upcoming change or development.
- Root cause analysis: Troubleshooting production errors and performing root cause analysis.
- Scheduling: Scheduling, modifying, and monitoring production mainframe jobs
- Balancing: Completing daily and weekly balancing procedures
- Analyzing: Analyzing and troubleshooting application issues, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions
