Key points for success:
- Client needs someone with experience designing end-to-end supply chain processes through modern architecture best practices, e.g. microservices, Event Driven Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
- Previous experience helping a company with adoption of BTP vs. custom development
- Experience with Order Management in a B2B eCommerce environment, and how that integrates with supply chain processes. Client, through Event Driven Architecture, is trying to automate as many processes as possible from Order made to Order received. Having experience with SAP Event Mesh is a major bonus.
- Excellent communication and leadership presentation skills need this person to document and present domain level roadmaps (technology and data) and key architecture tradeoffs to the CIO s leadership team.
Client is seeking a Senior SAP Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of technology solutions within our North American Supply Chain. This high-impact role requires an experienced SAP technical leader that can solve complex business problems through technology in the Order Management, Warehouse Operations, and Yard Management domains. We are looking for a leader that can collaborate closely with business teams and product/portfolio managers on solutions, while evangelizing modern SAP and architecture approaches across technology teams
- Technical Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations or manufacturing processes and ability to conceptualize impacts of changes across processes.
- Extensive functional knowledge of SAP S/4 EWM, Stock Room Management, and SAP S/4 components supporting the Supply Chain.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4 Order Management (SD & MM)
- Familiarity with components of the BTP platforms
- Knowledge of application integration and data extraction patterns within the SAP and cloud native ecosystems.
- Experience designing and implementing custom container-based applications and cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred) is a plus.
- Architectural Skills
- Ability to reason between technical solution patterns, articulating architectural trade-offs between them.
- Ability to present a complex technical topic in simple terms to leadership and large audiences.
- Ability to create and communicate roadmaps including articulation of reasons for and implications of changes.
- Strong ability to collaborate and influence within a matrixed organization and work with cross-functional teams to drive solutions.
- Familiarity with modern architecture practices e.g. microservices, Event Driven Architecture, DDD, data products, security and networking concepts are a plus.
- Education and Continuous Learning
- A growth mindset with a strong desire to continuously learn new technologies, methodologies, and soft skills to stay current in the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
- Bachelor s degree in a technical field preferred.
