Job Description:

POSITION: Lead System Engineer

JOB LOCATION: 200 S. Laurel Ave. Bldg. A. Middletown, NJ 07748 [hybrid position]

DUTIES: Translate business needs into technical solutions and define solutions to problems through the application of information technology. Design, develop, document, and analyze the overall architecture of systems including hardware and software. Determine integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs. Coordinate the design and integration of total systems including subsystems. Support technical initiatives as part of a larger project. Develop new technologies and maintain existing technologies. Build multiple version systems that address performance and scale. Manage daily operations of IT VoIP test systems and implement VoIP server policies for service controlled routing and redirection. Debug and troubleshoot end to end call failures on VoIP architecture. Manage incident tickets and track escalations. Perform requirement analysis, test case development, and system testing of components to identify compliance, performance, and stability issues. Research and evaluate new technologies related to network and telephony design, operation, management, and network security. Complete functional and feasibility testing of Telco features for VoIP and SIP. Perform security monitoring to identify intrusions. Monitor network usage, anticipate problems, and provide solutions. Oversee quality assurance for web-based interfaces to VoIP subsystems.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical and Electronic Engineering and five (5) years of progressive postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered, or five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation designing, developing, documenting, and analyzing the overall architecture of systems including hardware and software; determining integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs; developing new technologies and maintaining existing technologies; building multiple version systems that address performance and scale; managing daily operations of IT VoIP test systems and implementing VoIP server policies for service controlled routing and redirection; debugging and troubleshooting end to end call failures on VoIP architecture; managing incident tickets and tracking escalations; completing functional and feasibility testing of Telco features for VoIP and SIP; performing security monitoring to identify intrusions; monitoring network usage, anticipating problems, and providing solutions; and overseeing quality assurance for web-based interfaces to VoIP subsystems.
