Senior Mechanical/Electrical Engineer – Precision Systems

What you get to do:

  • Design and develop high-precision electro-mechanical actuation and control systems for advanced semiconductor technologies.

  • Lead concept and prototype development, incorporating engineering analysis (e.g., FEA) and experimental testing.

  • Develop production-ready, manufacturable designs with a focus on motion control, sensing, and structural performance.

  • Interface with cross-functional engineering teams and external vendors to align technical requirements and project goals.

  • Manage full project lifecycles, including timelines, resource planning, and coordination of development phases.

  • Contribute to sustaining and execution engineering activities within R&D environments.

  • Generate and support intellectual property development.


What you need to succeed:

  • Ph.D. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with relevant industry experience; or

  • Master’s degree with 5+ years of applied research experience in precision engineering or semiconductor systems.

  • Expertise in high-precision motion control and sensing systems.

  • Proficiency in engineering design tools such as Siemens NX or equivalent CAD software.

  • Experience with signal processing for structural and vibration analysis.

  • Familiarity with nano-imprinting, nano-patterning, or related advanced lithography techniques.

  • Experience with C++ development in control system applications.

Work Environment & Travel:
This is a hands-on role requiring regular lab and cleanroom presence. Physical activity includes lifting up to 25 lbs., working with experimental setups, and extended computer use. Domestic and occasional international travel may be required.
