Job Details

A leading financial services software company is seeking an experienced Web Developer/Architect to design and build high-performance, real-time user interfaces that handle complex streaming event data. This is a full-stack role with a strong focus (approximately 70%) on front-end development (React TypeScript).

Candidates for this role must have experience developing high-performance, real-time applications with a React TypeScript front end and a C# back end. This expertise is a mandatory requirement.

Tech Stack

  • Frontend: TypeScript/React

  • Backend: C#/.NET

  • Communication Layer: gRPC services

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, performant web applications with a strong emphasis on front-to-back integration.

  • Select and apply appropriate design patterns to enhance the web application's architecture.

  • Develop highly performant data grids with advanced features such as grouping and pivoting across multiple dimensions.

  • Optimize browser rendering and data delivery to minimize latency for handling large volumes of real-time data.

  • Employ effective caching and data transmission strategies for applications with both static and dynamic data.

Technical Requirements

  • 10+ years of software development experience.

  • Proven expertise in designing and building complex web applications with React and TypeScript.

  • Strong backend development skills in C# .NET.

  • Hands-on experience with web sockets for rendering large-scale streaming data on the front end.

  • Proficiency in optimizing browser performance for real-time data visualization.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Electron-based containers like OpenFin or Finsemble, and inter-application communication on Windows desktop.

  • Familiarity with data visualization frameworks.

  • Experience scaling middle-tier data distribution layers, such as distributed caches and messaging systems.

  • Expertise in alert aggregation, distribution, notification, and acknowledgment systems.

  • Knowledge of AWS Cloud Hosting relevant to application performance and scalability.

Location and Work Mode

  • NYC metro area preferred (hybrid role).
