Roles & Responsibilities:
Serve as the Lead Mainframe Architect with deep expertise in z/OS System Administration, guiding system-level design, architecture, and governance.
Lead the installation, configuration, and upgrade of z/OS and related system software such as SMP/E, JES2, RACF, and SMF.
Drive Production Control and Scheduling strategies, and lead a team in leveraging tools such as IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS/TWS) and CA Jobtrac for batch workload automation.
Architect and implement best practices for Performance and Capacity Management, including WLM tuning, SMF analysis, and workload modeling.
Oversee Mainframe Storage and Network administration including support for DASD, VTS, tape systems, and TCP/IP stack tuning.
Provide subject matter expertise in DB2, IMS, CICS, MQ, and WAS for operational support, performance tuning, and incident resolution.
Manage Automation environments using IBM System Automation (SA z/OS) and CA OPS/MVS, implementing intelligent recovery and startup routines.
Lead and mentor a team of system programmers, administrators, and scheduling specialists; conduct knowledge transfers and technical reviews.
Spearhead Disaster Recovery (DR) planning, hardware upgrades, and capacity forecasting in alignment with enterprise IT strategy.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) of high-severity issues and system outages, providing permanent solutions and incident reports.
