Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead a major cross-functional Observability Transformation Initiative within the IT Infrastructure & Operations organization. This high-visibility role will manage complex programs spanning multiple IT domains including infrastructure, application services, and client support.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, technically adept, and comfortable managing diverse stakeholder groups to deliver outcomes that align with enterprise monitoring, tool consolidation, SLA standardization, and executive-level reporting.

Contract duration: 6-12 months


Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
  • Lead full lifecycle project execution including initiation, planning, vendor selection, design, development/configuration, testing, integration, go-live, and transition to operations.

  • Coordinate and manage cross-functional projects involving monitoring tools, application performance, user experience, synthetic benchmarking, and real-time dashboards.

  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, manage budgets, timelines, risks, and resource allocations across multiple IT departments.

  • Evaluate existing and proposed monitoring tools across enterprise systems (network, server, application).

  • Map business and technical requirements to existing toolsets; identify opportunities to consolidate and optimize.

  • Oversee the migration from legacy tools to modern platforms, minimizing operational disruption and license costs.

  • Define and publish SLAs, escalation criteria, and service metrics across IT teams.

Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration
  • Act as the primary liaison between business units, IT leadership, application owners, and external vendors.

  • Deliver executive dashboards showcasing key application metrics (e.g., uptime, real-time/historical performance, planned outages).

  • Enable application owners with in-depth technical dashboards tailored to their systems.

Team & Process Leadership
  • Build and lead diverse project teams across infrastructure, applications, and operations.

  • Ensure alignment between business needs and technical deliverables.

  • Promote continuous improvement in project management methodologies and practices.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.

  • PMP certification preferred.

  • 6 8+ years of experience managing large-scale, enterprise-level IT projects.

  • Proven success leading projects across infrastructure, enterprise applications, and IT operations.

  • Strong expertise in project planning, budgeting, issue/risk management, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools, observability platforms, and IT service management.

  • Skilled in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

  • Proficient with MS Project, Azure DevOps (TFS), Microsoft Office Suite, and Visio.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to interface confidently with executives and technical teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead change in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
