As a Lead Application Developer, you will play a key role in shaping the technological landscape of Citi's global Commodities Trading business. You will lead architectural planning, design decisions, and critical development initiatives, while guiding other developers in building and maintaining a strategic application suite. This involves championing the effective and up-to-date usage of Typescript, React, and .NET to deliver robust, scalable, and efficient solutions.
You will spearhead the design and continued development of growing Citi Commodities applications, leveraging existing and new internal interfaces, responsive React web UIs, and high-performance .NET services. As a senior member of a global team, you will take ownership of seamless integration across multiple application layers, collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions tailored to business needs.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of the Commodities Trade Pricing and Revenue Reporting/Analytics client, providing technical guidance and mentorship to the development team.
- Elicit and analyze global stakeholder requirements, proactively offering design feedback and proposing innovative solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle, with experience leading all phases of application development from initial concept to production.
- Architect and implement improvements to development and deployment pipelines, enhancing efficiency and expanding feature support.
- Champion and maintain application quality by developing and overseeing testing strategies, evaluating performance, and ensuring feature accuracy.
- Proactively identify and resolve application and strategic bottlenecks and weaknesses, implementing robust solutions to enhance application reliability and growth.
- Guide global Commodities Technology developers' efforts, fostering continuous growth, improvement, and coordinated solutions.
- Embrace continuous learning and actively seek opportunities to expand your skillset into new and complex technology areas.
- Take ownership of technical solutions and drive them to successful completion.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in React UI/UX development.
- Proven experience in inter-application communication via REST and WebSocket.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with application stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to overcome challenges through research and effective communication.
- Proven ability to take ownership of initiatives, make informed technical decisions, and deliver impactful solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience leading and collaborating with development teams.
