We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Architect - Remote / Telecommute for our client in Toronto, ON

Job Description:
- Architect end-to-end cloud infrastructure solutions tailored to large-scale retail and telecom environments.
- Lead infrastructure modernization projects, migrating compute, storage, and network workloads to Google Cloud Platform.
- Design hybrid and multi-cloud architectures ensuring scalability, availability, and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, security architects, and application developers.
- Establish infrastructure standards and reference architectures for retail stores, data centers, and telco networks.
- Engage directly with enterprise clients, leading technical workshops and architecture reviews.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or cloud architecture roles, including experience with different industry verticals (Example - retail and/or telecom systems).
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with core Google Cloud Platform services (e.g., Compute Engine, GKE, GCVE, VPC, Cloud Storage, Cloud IAM, Cloud DNS, Cloud Load Balancing).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, especially Terraform.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Google Cloud Platform Operations Suite, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Experience with hybrid cloud deployments, data center migrations, and networking topologies.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security and governance practices within regulated environments.
- Google Professional Cloud Architect certification mandatory (AWS/Azure is a plus).
- Strong stakeholder management and consulting experience with enterprise customers.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
