Primary job responsibilities
Implementing integration architectures for data and process integration within Salesforce & with other non-Salesforce systems.
Help with technical solution design, technical architecture and implementation of data acquisition and integration, both batch and real time
Communicate with product owners and analysts to clarify and refine requirements
Craft technical solutions and assemble design artifacts (functional design documents, data flow diagrams, data models, etc.)
Build data pipelines using data processing tools and technologies in open source and proprietary products
Serve the team as a domain expert for ETL and ELT design and other related big data and programming technologies
Identify incomplete data, improve quality of data, and integrate data from several data sources
Proactively identify performance & data quality problems and drive the team to remediate them
Design and develop tailored data structures
Reinvent prototypes to create production-ready data flows
Perform data profiling, sophisticated sampling, statistical testing, and testing of reliability on data
Clearly articulate pros and cons of various technologies and platforms in open source and proprietary products
Implement proof of concept on new technology and tools to help the organization pick the best tools and solutions
Strong SQL/SOQL optimization and performance tuning experience in a high volume data environment that uses parallel processing
Perform proof of concepts on Salesforce Lightning and Salesforce Classic platform
Collaborate with a geographically distributed team
Required skills
A degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field
5+ years of experience as a data engineer
Extensive experience in building frameworks, data analysis, data provisioning, modeling, performance tuning, and optimisation.
Good understanding of Salesforce CRM
Coding experience in Python and Scala, for Data Manipulation and Automation.
A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements
Good to have experience in Sales Cloud or Service Cloud
Strong communication skills
Experience with project & version management tools like JIRA, Github, Gerrit
Experience with Salesforce integration tools and APIs
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
