Job Details
Job title: VMWare System Administrator
Location: On-site in Annapolis, MD
Duration: Full-time
Candidates must have an active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.
TS/SCI Clearance with FSP Required
Role Responsibilities:
- We are looking for a senior-level system administrator/engineer with deep knowledge and experience in VMware.
- This role will be expected to perform system architect/design duties for both revamping the current system design to fit new needs and developing a new and improved design, as we migrate to the Hardware as a Service (HwaaS) platform.
- Experience with migrating from VMWare 7.x to VMWare 8.x and knowledge is strongly desired.
- Provide optimization and automation across multiple platforms and applications
- Drive consistency for deployment and build processes
- Focus on understanding customers' needs and translating those needs from product specifications into functional, production-ready code and infrastructure
Required Skills:
- Deep knowledge and experience with VMware vCenter, Cisco switches, VPNs, VLANs, and Server Deployment
- Experience with enclaves and firewalls (e.g., NSX, Cisco ASA)
- Experience related to network engineering design, system fit-up, and system deployment
- General Windows and some Linux system administration and sustainment experience, to include patching
- Knowledge working with Storage Area Network (SAN) and Power Distribution Units
- Familiarity with customer Security (i.e., STE/STN) requirements
The following skills are strongly desired:
- Experience with VMWare NSX
- Experience with migrating from VMWare 7.x to VMWare 8.x is strongly desired
- Knowledge and/or experience with Hardware as a Service (HWaaS) is desired
