Job Details

Description
This role will be the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, phone system, cell phones, printers/copiers and personal computer systems and network-related issues while delivering excellent customer service to all levels of users.
Responsibilities
Assist in day-to-day maintenance and operation of various systems/components:
o Desktop and server hardware
o Business applications
o Security systems
o Phone systems
o Networking systems
o Printer/Label/Imaging systems
Assist in monitoring and responding to PC/LAN issues.
Provide help desk support to local and remote users 24/7.
Respond to issues, research appropriate remedial actions, and document the issue, action, and outcome of each request.
Provide IT training and support for all users, tailoring instruction to skill level.
Install/upgrade/configure/repair software (operating systems & applications)
Install/upgrade/configure/repair hardware.
Maintain inventory of equipment.
Contact software/hardware vendors when issues can't be resolved in-house.
Perform QA functions for system installations/upgrades/modifications.
Collect, compile, refine, and catalog system data.
Identify and suggest possible opportunities and improvements regarding procedures, systems, and/or other remedial techniques.
New Hire Onboarding:
o Set up accounts, permissions, and access in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and other business applications.
o Prepare and configure hardware (laptops, phones, monitors, etc.) for new employees.
o Support first-day IT orientation and training for new hires.
Termination/Offboarding:
o Disable accounts, email, and access according to security policies.
o Recover, wipe, and reimage company-issued devices.
o Ensure secure handling of data and compliance with company policies.
Support IT projects and initiatives, including upgrades, rollouts, and audits.
Valid state driver's license for travel between facilities.
Other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required / Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field experience.
Knowledge of CAD/engineering software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced changing environment.
Ability to independently follow documented procedures.
Ability to leverage technology to simplify processes and improve employee satisfaction.
Strong problem solving with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results.
Willing and able to be flexible (coverage for multiple shifts).
Ability to effectively manage sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
