Salary: $55.00 USD Hourly - $65.00 USD Hourly
Description: Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in wireless network optimization and performance engineering.
- Recent and extensive hands-on experience with LTE and 5G RAN tuning/optimization on Ericsson OEM.
- Experience with Nokia RAN is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing customer and project expectations.
- Proven ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into actionable plans.
- Deep understanding of 5G NR, Massive MIMO, mmWave, LAA, and 4G LTE technologies.
- Proficient in Layer 3 message analysis for 4G and 5G.
- Skilled in event analysis for accessibility, retainability, and handover success rate issues.
- Expertise in drive test data analysis and performance improvement.
- Hands-on experience with optimization tools such as Actix, Agilent, and R&S.
- Strong knowledge of loaded network tuning and traffic load differentiation.
- Familiarity with IRAT procedures and their impact on network quality.
- Experience with carrier addition impact analysis, including 5G.
- Extensive experience in LTE/5G optimization and performance tuning.
- Ability to implement and experiment with RAN features.
- Strong understanding of handovers, network capacity, and optimization strategies.
- Proficiency with Ericsson ENM and related optimization tools.
- KPI analysis and performance improvement recommendations.
- VoLTE AFR and DCR improvement strategies.
- Traffic management and load balancing techniques.
- Inter-vendor border management.
- Enhanced uplink tuning.
- Led 5+ projects in a technical capacity.
- Served as technical lead on at least 2 large-scale deployments (e.g., major metro or statewide).
- Responsibilities included technical organization, team oversight, and effective communication with project managers and customers.
