Hours and Compensation:
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000 per year
Employment Type: Direct Hire with possible relocation assistance
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative packaging solutions that meet product, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct packaging material evaluations, testing, and selection to ensure durability and compliance with industry standards.
- Optimize packaging processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and achieve sustainability goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in R&D, operations, logistics, and marketing to integrate packaging solutions into production workflows.
- Analyze packaging costs and develop strategies for cost reduction without sacrificing quality.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, legal, and environmental regulations related to packaging.
- Manage packaging-related projects from concept to implementation, including prototyping and testing.
- Provide technical expertise to resolve packaging challenges and enhance performance.
- Lead product lifecycle management and product data management to drive documented long-term solutions.
- Support machine commissioning, installation, and debugging with strong problem-solving skills.
- Influence decisions across production, engineering, quality, and maintenance activities with strong leadership.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in packaging design and engineering, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and packaging software tools.
- Familiarity with packaging sustainability initiatives.
- Strong understanding of ISTA and ASTM standards.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt experience is a strong plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
