Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer/Lead to join our team supporting AbbVie. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading technical design, development, testing, release management, and operations of Salesforce applications. This role involves close collaboration with global teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to ensure delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality Salesforce solutions that align with enterprise goals.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Technical Leadership: Lead end-to-end development, testing, release, and operations of applications built on the Salesforce platform.

  2. Team Management: Oversee onsite and offshore teams of developers, QA engineers, admins, and project leads ensuring deliverables meet business objectives and AbbVie standards.

  3. Release & Delivery Management: Develop and execute delivery plans, manage dependencies, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure timely, quality releases.

  4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with solution architects, product owners, and program management to align technical roadmaps and deliver integrated Salesforce solutions.

  5. Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to AbbVie s Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) policies, quality standards, and compliance requirements.

  6. Continuous Improvement: Measure and report on delivery quality, operational metrics, and project spend. Implement process enhancements for sustainable, scalable, and repeatable delivery.

  7. Operations Oversight: Manage application operations, monitor SLAs, prioritize issue resolution, and publish operational dashboards.

  8. Architecture & Solution Design: Contribute to technical architecture decisions, design scalable solutions, and support integration with external systems.

  9. Innovation & Enablement: Stay current with Salesforce releases and emerging technologies; build proof-of-concepts to demonstrate new capabilities and reduce technical debt.

  10. Mentorship & Growth: Mentor junior developers and team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.


Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Bachelor s Degree with 8+ years of experience, or

    • Master s Degree with 7+ years, or

    • Ph.D. with 3+ years of relevant experience.

    • Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is preferred.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Minimum 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce platform experience, including large enterprise implementations.

    • Proficiency in Apex, Triggers, LWC, Visualforce, Flows, and integration frameworks.

    • Experience with Service Cloud (required) and Health Cloud (preferred).

    • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture principles, Well-Architected Framework, and scalable solution design.

    • Experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and continuous testing practices in Salesforce ecosystems.

  • Certifications (Preferred):

    • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II

    • Salesforce Administrator

    • Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant

    • Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect

  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

    • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive strategic initiatives.

    • Strong problem-solving mindset with out-of-the-box thinking and innovation.
