We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team on the 2nd shift. This position is permanent, and we are offering a generous relocation package. The role is based in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility where we use cutting-edge technology to produce high-quality products. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our engineering team, contributing to the smooth operation and maintenance of our production machinery.
Responsibilities:
As the Engineering Technician, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Performing regular and preventative maintenance on a variety of manufacturing machines, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
2. Troubleshooting and repairing faults with PLCs, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
3. Utilizing test equipment to diagnose and rectify issues with motors, motor starters, and relays.
4. Performing electrical troubleshooting to identify and fix problems that might disrupt production.
5. Applying plumbing skills where necessary to ensure the smooth running of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
6. Collaborating with other members of the engineering team to optimize machine performance and reduce downtime.
7. Documenting all maintenance and repair work for future reference and reporting purposes.
8. Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machine Maintenance Technician or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Demonstrable experience with PLC troubleshooting and repair.
3. Proficiency in using test equipment and tools relevant to the role.
4. Solid understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
5. Experience with motors, motor starters, and relays.
6. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
7. Good plumbing skills.
8. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
9. A commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations.
10. A relevant degree or diploma in engineering is preferred but not essential.
